A Passion for beer and Education

Beer is always more than just the liquid in your glass
Chris Leguizamon's Passion for beer was built on more than just the liquid in your glass. Stories. People. Moments. What started as a simple curiosity became a mission to help other people see that you don't need to fear beer to find it meaningful.

Chris is an advanced cicerone, certified bjcp beer judge, educator, presenter and mentor with over 10 years of experience in the craft brewing industry. He works with breweries, hospitality groups and beer enthusiasts from all walks of life. His classes are designed to be fun, accessible, and based on genuine curiosity.

An unusual path

Chris's journey into beer did not follow the typical route. first generation colombian american, Physics degree...early interest in questioning and understanding how things work. That same curiosity would lead him to understand and appreciate the science, history, culture and craftsmanship that goes into making beer...and eventually teach that information to others.

Through out chris' career he has given guided tastings, conducted workshops and training sessions for brewery employees, served as a beer competition judge, spoke at industry events and helped those interested in a career in the craft brewing industry pursue their goals and certification. No matter if chris is speaking to a group of experienced professionals or is introducing someone to their first beer tasting experience, his philosophy will remain the same: meet people where they are at and make learning enjoyable.

Chris hopes to develop a culture of inclusiveness within the beer industry. He would like to see a society that values educational opportunities as avenues of growth, celebrates diversity and allows anyone the opportunity to be involved. Chris hopes to establish a beer culture that provides bridges between communities, ideologies and people, encourages a life long pursuit of education and builds relationships via the conversations that occur over beers.

Our Mission

We will create an experience for beer education, that is accessible, open-minded, and fun by allowing us to cultivate curiosity, building confidence and fostering connections to others who enjoy drinking beer in common. We believe we can do this with teaching, mentoring, and engaging conversations. Chris wants to enable people from all levels of knowledge (beginner, intermediate, advanced) on their journey exploring beer, without fear.
